Code of Conduct,
For R&K Studios working on All MUsic In Devon initiative Projects, But espeically Out of The Source Studios, Concorde House, South Street Exeter EX1 1EG
This Code of Conduct applies to all freelancers working across Music in Devon Initiative projects, including (but not limited to) MIDI TV, Exeter Street Arts Festival, Soundtribe, Devon Pop-up Pianos and the Source & The Source Studio.
All freelancers are expected to uphold the following standards:
1. Professional Conduct
● Treat fellow freelancers, staff, participants, audiences and partners with professionalism
and respect at all times.
● Communicate calmly and constructively.
● Shouting, aggressive behaviour, or raising voices at colleagues or participants is not
acceptable.
2. Safeguarding & Appropriate Behaviour
● Maintain appropriate professional boundaries at all times.
● Sexual, explicit, or inappropriate language must not be used in the presence of
underage participants.
● Follow all safeguarding procedures relevant to the project you are working on.
3. Equality, Diversity & Inclusion
● Discrimination, harassment, bullying or victimisation of any kind will not be tolerated.
● Treat everyone fairly regardless of age, disability, gender identity, race, religion or belief,
sex, sexual orientation, or socio-economic background.
4. Alcohol & Drugs
● The use of alcohol or illegal drugs during working hours, or attending work under the
influence of alcohol or drugs, is strictly prohibited.
5. Resolving Concerns
● Any disputes, incidents, or concerns must be brought to the attention of MIDI Director
Nick Hall at the earliest working day.
● Office hours: Monday–Friday, 10am–5pm.
● Urgent safeguarding matters must be reported immediately in line with project
safeguarding procedures.
Failure to adhere to this Code of Conduct may result in termination of freelance engagement.
