Lyrically,“The Final Show“ was originally based on a photo of Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington in the days before he took his own life. In the photo, he is smiling with his family looking over a balcony, all blissfully unaware of what was to happen. There is a theory that suicidal people will seem happy and relaxed, as they know they will soon be free of their suffering. “The Final Show“ refers to this idea and the song talks about things you’d find at a theatre show, as metaphors for making sure we look after each other.
